It’s a lot easier to practice high-minded living in a mountain top monastery than to demonstration those same principles among the diverse social currents of a town or city.

True innovation is easier demonstrated than expressed in words. This is in part because there can be no simple shorthand for what is outside our experience, our common sense.

ΘuterPlace ΛɌ is part of the brick-n-mortar mission of Λn Solas Si ΛrtScience and is intended to be an experiential full-time Live-learn-Make environment where our cooperative troupe shares an augmented MMO LARP-like paradigm with our cooperative patron community.

Our Augmented Reality will enable sophisticated Action, Research, Design, Development using operational relationship management and modelling to better inform the decision-making, resource management, task sharing, task shifting, the mundane aspects of business operations while also providing co-creative relationship management for our artists, artisans, and performers, as they engage in world-building, scripting, blocking, character development and actual performance in collaboration with patrons.

We propose to accomplish this via an unobtrusive, all but invisible Geofenced Social Network, a suite of cyberphysical utilities embedded within an ecocentric urban park where we performatively express our shared vision, our raisons d’être of how to best secure, Remediate + Re-Green, reclaim Near-Urban Liminal Spaces.

ΘuterPlace ΛɌ, a stage where we share narratives to engage heart and mind, amplifying a signal that cuts through the noise of modernity, communicating by demonstration using tools seemingly indistinguishable from magic.

“The signal in the physical world is the foundation of design. We can understand how the human system works in order to design the most effective signals in a world full of distractions.”
